Jalapeño & Cheddar Potatoes

Jalapeño & Cheddar Mashed Potatoes

These spicy potatoes are a simple and flavourful backcountry meal addition. 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dehydrated potatoes
  • 1/4 cup dehydrated cheddar cheese
  • 1 dehydrated jalapeño, chopped 
  • 1 tbsp. powdered milk (recommended but optional)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 – 1 tbsp chilli flakes (optional)

Directions

1. Dehydrate potatoes (or buy in store!), as well as cheddar cheese & jalapeño (see dehydrating page for instructions)

2. Combine all ingredients

3. Add 1 1/3 cup boiling hot water. Let sit for 5 minutes
