The Adventurer Behind the Screen

Hi, I'm Briana!

Most people call me Bri. The outdoors is my absolute happy place. Ever since I completed my first backpacking trip on the West Coast Trail, I’ve become obsessed with outdoor adventure and I’ve never looked back. Whether that be to a city park, or out to the mountains, I take every opportunity I can to get outdoors; rain or shine (or let’s face it, snow or shine).

I graduated from Mount Royal University with a major in Ecotourism & Outdoor Leadership, a minor in  Sport & Recreation Management, and an extension certification in Event Management.

What inspired the creation of Happiest Outside:

Getting outside and connecting with nature was – and continues to be – a key factor for keeping my mental (and overall) health in check.  Self-awareness, personal development and self-reflection have been major positive outcomes from challenging myself in nature-based environments. This discovery inspired me to not only share my experiences, but to provide others with motivation, resources and tips to get out and explore the outdoors.
