HALF OR FULL DAY
Basics:
- Backpack (FYI: some backpacks have detachable daypacks which are super convenient for venturing after setting up camp!)
- Rain cover for backpack
- Proper footwear (Hiking boots, runners etc)
- Water Bottle
- Water purifier
- Sunscreen
- Food (check out our ideas!)
- First Aid Kit – don’t forget moleskins!
- Headlamp or flashlight with spare batteries (Headlamp is better so both hands are free!)
- Lighter and or waterproof matches
- Topographical Map & Compass
- Ball cap & sunglasses
- Knife
- Tarp
- Rope (Handy for making shelter, making a clothes lines or even rescuing someone!)
Clothing: (layering is key!)
- Waterproof outer jacket
- Waterproof, breathable pants (We prefer zip-offs to easily adapt to changes in temperature)
- Perspiration wicking shirt
- Perspiration wicking socks
- Sleeping attire
- Lounging socks
- Toque/warm hat
- Gloves
- Underwear
