Packing: Half or Full Day

PACKING LIST:

HALF OR FULL DAY

Basics:

  • Backpack (FYI: some backpacks have detachable daypacks which are super convenient for venturing after setting up camp!)
  • Rain cover for backpack
  • Proper footwear (Hiking boots, runners etc)
  • Water Bottle
  • Water purifier
  • Sunscreen
  • Food (check out our ideas!)
  • First Aid Kit – don’t forget moleskins!
  • Headlamp or flashlight with spare batteries (Headlamp is better so both hands are free!)
  • Lighter and or waterproof matches
  • Topographical Map & Compass 
  • Ball cap & sunglasses
  • Knife
  • Tarp
  • Rope (Handy for making shelter, making a clothes lines or even rescuing someone!)

Clothing: (layering is key!)

  • Waterproof outer jacket
  • Waterproof, breathable pants (We prefer zip-offs to easily adapt to changes in temperature)
  • Perspiration wicking shirt
  • Perspiration wicking socks
  • Sleeping attire
  • Lounging socks
  • Toque/warm hat
  • Gloves
  • Underwear

Safety:

  • Whistle
  • Bear Spray 
  • Satellite phone

Toiletries:

  • Toilet paper
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Medications

Misc

  • Small garbage bag
